Warren Magid

I am actively involved in music education and devote many hours of volunteer time to our local music community. I am proud of my many students who have won state and national competition awards and participate in regional performance events. I follow the rigorous standards set by the Royal Conservatory Music Development Program and only accept students who are interested in achievement, continuous improvement and (parental) commitment to excellence. My Piano Studio is located in the Dallastown and York Suburban School District area.

Warren Magid Piano Studio - Class of 2016

I studied piano and composition at Peabody Conservatory, but later transferred to the University of Maryland, which led to a 28-year career in medicine. Teachers after Peabody have included Enrique Graf, Gretchen Dekker, and Brenna Berman at the Golandsky Institute (Taubman Approach).

I currently serve as:
1. President of the York Music Teachers Association
2. Director, Student Division of the Matinee Musical Club of York
3. State and Regional Coordinator of the MTNA National Composition Competition
4. Chair, Keystone (PMTA) State Composition Competition
5. Chair, The Dorothy Sutton Performance Festival at York College
